Off-road buggies and truggies are the undisputed kings of the dirt. Whether you are launching a 1/8 scale truggy off massive ramps at the local bash spot or threading a 1/10 scale buggy through a highly technical clay track, these vehicles are subjected to extreme abuse.

There is nothing quite like the thrill of sending your RC basher full-throttle through a massive mud puddle or blasting a 4WD short-course truck across a snow-covered field. But that thrill can quickly turn into a costly nightmare when your car suddenly twitches, smokes, and dies.

You have the perfect suspension geometry, a powerful brushless motor, and a finely tuned ESC. But all that power and technology is completely useless if your tires can’t translate that energy into forward motion. Your tires are the single point of contact between your vehicle and the ground.

When you first install a new brushless motor and ESC (Electronic Speed Controller), it is tempting to just plug in your LiPo battery and instantly grab full throttle. While factory default settings will certainly get your car moving, they are designed to be a safe, middle-of-the-road compromise.
