Shipping & Delivery
How long does it take Naughty Boy RC to process an order?
Naughty Boy RC processes most orders within 24 hours. Most orders, including RC parts, tools, and apparel, are packed and shipped in house from our shop in Cayuta, New York. Some larger RC kits ship directly from our warehouses in Utah and Pennsylvania. Processing for these items may take 1 to 2 additional days, and if your order includes one, it may arrive in a separate package.
How long does shipping take?
Once your order has been processed, standard shipping within the USA usually takes 3 to 5 business days. Holidays and other unexpected events can affect delivery times.
Do you offer free shipping?
Naughty Boy RC offers low, flat-rate shipping on most RC parts, with small increases for larger items such as bags and RC bodies. Most RC cars and trucks ship free, and many orders over $150 qualify for free shipping. Your exact shipping cost is shown at checkout.
Does Naughty Boy RC ship internationally?
Yes. Naughty Boy RC ships internationally through Shopify’s international shipping program, using DHL eCommerce (ePacket) and UPS International. Shipping costs and any duties or taxes are shown at checkout. Some items, such as batteries, paint, glue, and shock oil, cannot be shipped internationally.
Are there shipping restrictions on batteries, paint, glue, and shock oil?
Yes. RC batteries (including LiPo and Li-ion packs), paint, glue, body and tire prep products, and shock oil are regulated for shipping. Naughty Boy RC ships these items by ground service only, to the lower 48 United States only. They cannot be shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations.
How do I track my order?
When your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. If you created an account, you can also view your order status by logging in to your Naughty Boy RC account.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged or I received the wrong item?
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us right away at sales@naughtyboyrc.com with your order number and photos so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Match the part number in your vehicle’s manual to the part number in our product listing. Do you sell parts for brands you don’t sell vehicles for?
Yes. We also carry Bermco upgrade parts for the Associated RC10, Kyosho Mini-Z MB-010, Kyosho MP11, and Losi 22S, Micro B/T, and NASCAR platforms.
What is the difference between RTR, ARTR, and a kit?
An RTR (Ready-to-Run) RC vehicle comes fully assembled with its electronics and radio installed, so you only need to charge up and drive. An ARTR (Almost Ready-to-Run) model is mostly assembled but needs a few items added, typically a battery and charger and sometimes a radio system. A kit is built by you from the ground up and usually requires you to supply the motor, ESC, servo, radio, battery, and charger. Each product description lists what is included and what you still need.
What do RC scales like 1/8 and 1/10 mean?
Scale describes the size of an RC model compared with the full-size vehicle it is based on. A 1/10 scale car is one-tenth the size of the real thing and is the most popular size for racing and bashing. A 1/8 scale vehicle is larger, heavier, and usually more powerful, while 1/16, 1/18, and smaller scales are compact and great for backyards or indoor driving. Tires, bodies, and most parts are scale-specific, so always match parts to your vehicle’s scale.
What’s the difference between brushed and brushless RC motors?
Brushed motors are simple and affordable, which makes them common in entry-level RC cars. Brushless motors are more efficient, faster, run cooler, and need less maintenance. Brushless motors are rated in kV (RPM per volt); a higher kV generally means more top speed and a lower kV more torque. A brushless motor needs a brushless-compatible ESC, and our motor and ESC combos take the guesswork out of matching them.
What is the difference between pre-mounted and unmounted RC tires?
Pre-mounted tires come already glued to wheels, so you can bolt them on and drive. Unmounted tires come without wheels and must be glued to a compatible wheel using RC tire glue, such as the CA tire glue in our Tire Prep section. Racers often choose unmounted tires to pick their own wheel and insert combination. For foam tires, the shore rating indicates hardness: a lower shore number is softer and grippier, and a higher number is harder and longer-lasting.
Which battery should I choose for my RC car: LiPo, NiMH, or LiFe?
LiPo batteries deliver the most power and runtime for their weight and are the most popular choice, but they require a LiPo-compatible balance charger and careful handling. NiMH batteries are durable, forgiving, and beginner-friendly but heavier with less punch. LiFe batteries are very stable and are often used for receiver and transmitter packs. Before buying, check your vehicle’s maximum voltage (cell count, shown as 2S, 3S, and so on), the connector type, and the battery tray dimensions.
How do I safely charge and store LiPo batteries?
Always use a charger with a LiPo balance-charge mode, never leave a charging LiPo unattended, and charge on a non-flammable surface or in a LiPo safety bag. Avoid running packs below about 3.0 volts per cell, and store them at a storage charge of about 3.8 volts per cell when not in use. Stop using any battery that is puffed, damaged, or hot, and dispose of it properly.
What is the best RC car for a beginner?
For most beginners we recommend a durable RTR (Ready-to-Run) vehicle. Monster trucks and short course trucks are great for bashing in yards and parks, rock crawlers are slower and ideal for trails and obstacles, and mini/micro RC cars are perfect for indoor fun and small spaces. Tell us your budget and where you plan to drive at sales@naughtyboyrc.com, and we will point you in the right direction.
